Juan Curiel is a former police officer who founded HACP Boxing (Hook Aim Cross Punch), a youth and adult based boxing and wellness club based in Round Lake Beach, Illinois. He started the organization to provide local youth with an after-school program centered around boxing technique, discipline, fitness, and mental wellness/mentoring. This was after learning that people with ADHD, Autism and other diagnoses were never given the opportunity to participate in a sport. In addition to running the gym, Curiel is the CEO/President of the American Boxing Organization (ABO)

Our Story

After the starting the club in 2009, Mr. Curiel focused on rebuilding at risk youth in the Lake County area. The club has given the youth and adults a sense of purpose. Mr. Curiel vast experience in the social service field as a mentor, unit coordinator, counselor and case manager, he has built a therapeutic approach to service.

Building strong foundations and a safe place for everyone to learn, grow and develop. Since 2009 HACP Boxing and Wellness has been given many nominations and awards from Congressional Representatives and Community leaders for committment and service.
